Ben Franklin is a
famous American. He was a statesman, book printer, soap maker,
cabbage grower, and most importantly, an inventor. Some of his most
famous inventions were bifocal glasses, the Franklin stove, and the
lightning rod. His famous "kite flight" caused the discovery of
electricity. Ben Franklin helped to write the
Declaration of
Independence, and was one of the signers. He was born on January
17, 1706. He died on April 17, 1790. We still remember Ben
Franklin daily when we turn on the lights, read a book, and warm our
house. Thank you, Mr. Franklin!
